The Pups - Weeks 1 & 2

The babies continue to grow and change, and we are loving every minute of it!

Honey (F) on the left, and Heath (M) on the right, at six days old. In honor of the timing of their birth (right before Halloween) we've decided on candy names for this crew. They're wearing their newborn collars here. I couldn't duplicate all the colors when I got the next larger size so the collar colors may change on a few puppies in later photos.

Yellow Boy (no name yet) and Twix (F), at 12 days old...

And Twix by herself. Check out the unbelievably soft pads on her tiny paws. Eyes are still closed, ears are still closed.

I'm always fascinated by the interesting patterns in which the pups arrange themselves. They are very artistic.

The pups had several visitors this week, including Grandma and Grandpa. What, you mean not everybody has an enormous whelping box set up in their kitchen?
