Jen Wotka, Puppy Program Manager

Jen Wotka started as a volunteer with CHAMP in 2016 as a Therapy Dog Team with her dog Luna, a black lab mix. Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital and Delta Gamma Center were always their favorite places to visit. In 2019, Jen and her husband Mike became puppy raisers for the Assistance Dog Program. Most recently, Jen and her black lab Leo became a Therapy Dog Team and are having a great time spreading joy and smiles at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital and local libraries.

Jen graduated from Fontbonne University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and completed her master’s in clinical social work at Wash U with a focus on Mental Health. She has worked as a therapist, primarily in the nonprofit setting, to a wide range of ages and populations and continues to see a small number of therapy clients.

When the opportunity arose to join the CHAMP team as a staff member in 2023, Jen could not pass up the chance to combine her two passions of dogs and helping people. She aims to bring her compassionate, caring approach to support CHAMP’s puppy raisers, clients, staff, and dogs.

When not working, Jen and her husband love to travel, spend time outdoors, go to concerts, and visit with friends and family. They believe a house is not a home without a dog and love each CHAMP puppy that makes an appearance in their home.
