Susan Kelly

Susan Kelly has over 15 years of experience in the assistance dog community havingbeen a puppy raiser for nine dogs. She has been involved in whelping and participated in the breeding and birth of two litters. She has been a mentor for the CHAMP volunteer puppy raisers and a tireless volunteer for the organization. Susan joined the CHAMP board in June, 2025.

Susan is a practicing attorney with extensive experience in worker’s compensation defense litigation. She recently joined Simon Anderson Law P.C. She has focused her practice on workers’ compensation defense, representing employers and insurance carriers across Missouri and Kansas in complex workplace injury claims; managing cases from investigation through trial to achieve favorable outcomes.

She is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and Saint Louis University School of Law.

vSusan enjoys spending time with her Labrador Retrievers Ernie and retired breeding dog, Peaches. Other than raising the pups, Susan spends her time away from work as a member of the Italia- America Bocce Club of St. Louis. Born in Canada has also provided her with the love of hockey.
