Lori Moore-McMullen, CFRE, Director of Development

Lori Moore-McMullen

Lori Moore-McMullen brings nearly 40 years of experience in nonprofit development and is excited to officially join CHAMP as its first Director of Development. A longtime champion of our mission, Lori previously served on the CHAMP Board of Directors for five years, most recently as Secretary. Her deep passion for the companion animal–human bond and the meaningful role animals—especially dogs—play in our lives makes her a natural fit for this role.

Before joining CHAMP, Lori served as Executive Director of Wild Bird Rehabilitation (WBR), where she expanded programs, strengthened community partnerships and increased organizational income by 55 percent. Prior to WBR, she spent 16 years as Chief Development Officer for The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, overseeing a $3 million budget and leading a four-member development team. During her tenure, annual giving grew by more than 50 percent through strategic oversight of annual fund efforts, major gifts, planned giving and special events.

Lori’s career spans a wide range of health, social service, and humane organizations, including Edgewood Children’s Center, Harris House Foundation, The Humane Society of Missouri, The American Lung Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, St. Louis Chapter, where she began her development career in 1987.

She earned her CFRE accreditation in 1999 and dedicated nearly 14 years of service to the Board of Directors of AFP–St. Louis.

Outside of work, Lori and her late husband, Kevin, adopted and cared for many dogs over their 30 years together. Today, Lori’s terrier mix, Wendy, keeps her on her toes—especially when treats or ice from the freezer are involved.

Lori is thrilled to work alongside the CHAMP staff, Board, volunteers and donors to advance CHAMP’s mission and impact.
